We are delighted to be providing some instruments to this exciting production which is part of the International Children's Festival. Mappamondo performers from the Netherlands will be taking the audience on an imaginary journey across the earth with music and dance at Southside Community Centre, Edinburgh from 27th - 29th May 2019.
Using sand, earth, stones and a playful installation of percussion instruments, a dancer and a percussionist create a world of colours and sounds. Dancing to fragments of music from different continents and to the sounds of nature, the performers take the audience on a journey across the earth to discover nature. The richness of the soil is revealed in the wide variety of colors, materials, smells and sounds used in the performance.
